MICK MCGRAA gave six promising youngsters their first team debuts as Conwy signed off their 2011/12 campaign with a 2-0 defeat to Penrhyncoch.

Though the Tangerines enjoyed the better of the possession, their failure to capitalise on chances in front of goal cost United dear, with strikes either side of half time from Elwyn Edwards and Josh Shaw taking home the points for Pen.

Despite fading in the latter stages of the season, a tenth place finish represents a great return for Conwy in their first season back in the Huws Gray Alliance, and encouraging performances under McGraa bode well for next season, with the attacking trio of John Owen, Dean Canning and Leigh Craven topping the scoring charts with 20 goals between them.
