THE last of Rhyl Music Club’s Winter concerts will feature Kausikan Rajeshkumar, a gifted pianist who is a recent finalist in the BBC Young Musician Of The Year competition.
He is currently in Cambridge, completing his music studies which include composition – he will include at least one of his works in a programme of well-known pieces by Beethoven, Ravel and Chopin. Rhos on Sea Savoyards are currently rehearsing every Tuesday night at St Joseph’s Community Centre, Brackley Avenue, Colwyn Bay (7pm). Their next production will be Iolanthe from Wednesday March 28 to Saturday March 31 at St. Paul’s Church Hall, Colwyn Bay.

The enduring talents of Gilbert O’Sullivan can be seen in his Venue Cymru show (7.30pm). He has racked up no less than 14 top 40 hits, including Clair, Alone Again (Naturally), Get Down and Nothing Rhymed. He is joined on stage by his 11 piece band, including a string quartet, to present a stunning two hour show.

SUNDAY MARCH 25
The BBC National Orchestra of Wales return to Venue Cymru, Llandudno, under their principal guest conductor Jac van Steen, and with the sensational Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang, EMI Classic’s Young Artist of the Year 2010.
The programme will include Schumann’s overture to Genoveva, followed by Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto.
The second half will include Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 1 and Haydn’s London Symphony. Show starts at 3pm. Call 01492 872000.
