A PRESTATYN woman, known for her love of art and dance, has celebrated her 100th birthday.
Margaret Bryant enjoyed a day of festivities at the Craigside Inn, in her former home town of Llandudno with family and friends, who praised her energy and enthusiasm for life.
Mrs Bryant, who now lives with her daughter Iris Longden in Prestatyn, had lived in Llandudno for more than 30 years.
She was born in Manchester but moved to North Wales with her late husband Robert when he retired.
She enrolled on an art course and went on to have several of her paintings exhibited at the town hall.
Her daughter Iris said: “She loved painting and she played the piano by ear.
“She loved dancing too and that’s how she met my father.
“She was a great, great auntie and it was lovely for all my cousins to come and support her.”
“She had the card from the Queen and we had a champagne toast.
“Now she’s looking forward to next year!”
Mrs Bryant’s birthday festivities were also attended by the Mayor of Prestatyn, Cllr Allan Pennington and former Llandudno mayor Ann Yates.
