Disruption for Machynlleth rail users

ARRIVA Trains Wales were scheduled to resume normal service today after passengers from Machynlleth to Shrewsbury faced earlier disruption.

Early-morning Arriva Trains Wales passengers had to use a replacement bus service.

The problem was caused by engineering work over-running between Welshpool in Powys and Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

The bus service is no longer in place and the company said services were "nearly" back to normal.
