ST ASAPH 2
LLANSANNAN 1

A STIRRING second half fightback means that St Asaph are still on course to safeguard a top-three Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division finish this season.

But Saturday’s outcome was tough luck on a Llansannan side aiming to pull clear of the lower reaches of the table.

Llan had the lead for more than half-an-hour after Joe Maguire gave the villagers the lead after 20 minutes.

However, St Asaph levelled things up 10 minutes into the second period when Adam Cassidy found the target from the penalty spot.

The Saints weren’t finished as Jason Foulkes claimed the winning goal with just a quarter-of-an-hour left to play.
