A MAN who died over the weekend at Llanymynech Quarry has been named by police as 57-year-old Graham Bebb from Oswestry.

Today, his family issued the following statement in tribute to him.

“Graham loved an adventure and being outdoors. Llanymynech hill was one of his favourite walks, since finding roman coins there when he was younger.

"On this occasion a walk turned into a tragic accident.

"Graham loved gardening, was a keen musician, a member of Rhos male-voice Choir and a regular church attender. He will be greatly missed.

"The family would like to thank their friends for all the kind support they have received over the last couple of days and the police and emergency services for helping in these tragic circumstances.”

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Mr Bebb’s death.

If anyone has any information they think could help, or if they were out walking around the quarry on Friday or Saturday please contact officers at Welshpool Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
