The family of the 14-year-old who died following a collision with a car on the A483 between Four Crosses and Arddleen have paid tribute to the popular teenager.

James Edward Hodgson from Arddleen died on Friday. The collision happened at 4.40pm on Thursday 5th January.

“Jim was a very generous, giving and sensitive young man,” said family friend Cathy Jervis, on behalf of the family.

“He was popular and made friends easily. He was a member of Four Crosses Young Farmers and embraced being a member of the farming community. Jim had a natural affinity with animals.

“This tragedy has left an enormous void in all of our lives. He was a fantastic son, brother and Grandson.”

Investigations into the cause of the collision are ongoing. Anyone with information they think may help inquiries is asked to please contact police at Newtown Police Station on 101.
