COBRA retained the Nick Whiffen Trophy with victory over Llangollen, but their Christmas was blighted by injury to top scorer Llew Will-iams.
The fly-half sustained a knee injury with club spokesman James Watkin confirming the club fear a lengthy lay-off.
“Llew went to hospital and we do not know the full extent of the injury as yet,” said Watkin. “I fear he may face a spell on the sidelines.
“He has been in great form this season and also kicked a lot of points, so this is a blow, and obviously everyone from the club wishes Llew as speedy a recovery as possible.”
The match saw COBRA utilise over 30 players, but the only try was scored by wing Richard Jones.
Full-back Rhys Stephens added the conversion, while also kicking two penalties.
