CODY Smart struck the only goal of the game, as Llanfyllin Town stunned second division title chasers Four Crosses, in the shock result of Boxing Day.

While Crosses succumbed 1-0 to their close derby rivals, it was a different story in the East Radnor derby where table topping Knighton Town battled to overcome near neighbours Presteigne 2-0.

Danny Ives headed Knighton into the lead in the first-half, with top goalscorer Connor Bird latching onto Mike Cooper’s throughball to seal victory.

Kerry also maintained their promotion challenge with a 3-0 triumph at Abermule in the Dingle derby.

Huw McGrath netted twice against his former club, while an own goal ensured local bragging rights belonged to Joe Andrew’s Kerry.
Aberaeron were also 1-0 winners over Llandrindod Wells, with a solitary penalty conversion from Mattie Davies settling the outcome.

Machynlleth were involved in an eight goal thriller at Aberdyfi, in a game which saw both sides lead.

Dan Williams fired a hat-trick, with Luke Rickard completing Dyfi’s haul. Jamie Johnson struck twice in reply, while Simon Davies and Andrew Page ensured a point for Machynlleth.

Rhosgoch Rangers thumped Talgarth Town 7-0, with the Royals punished for the dismissal of Sam McLoughlin midway through the first-half.

Joe Price starred with an impressive five goal haul, while Liam Jones and Josh Watson completed a comfortable victory for the Crows.
