Now that one commercial spin-off has ended, Halloween, we enter the big one that is Christmas! The same question emerges for men up and down the country that never seems to have an easy answer and that’s what to get the lady in our life for Christmas.
There are ways around this conundrum that present themselves either as vouchers, expensive jewellery, a pamper day at the spa or perhaps something useful for the house or kitchen. The short answer to all of the above, perhaps with the exception of expensive jewellery, is “Don’t do it!”
As enjoyable as a day at the spa may seem, and indeed is for the lucky recipient, it falls into the same category as vouchers. This category is pretty much defined as “You lack imagination or couldn’t be bothered to find out what I really wanted.” This may not necessarily be the case, but it will most probably be interpreted as such.
Buying something useful for the house should only be a secondary gift or a particularly special gift that may have been requested or hinted like a flashy set of cooking pans or an electrical appliance that will turn the lady in your life into a culinary goddess who could take on Nigella Lawson.
The problem with these types of gifts is they still imply an outdated perception of the role of women in the house and that is not going to make your loved one feel special.
Now that you have crossed off all the ideas you had on your list, we are going to raise the bar and introduce you to an idea that will:
a) Blow her away.
b) Show her you love her.
c) Enhance your sex life.
We are of course talking about being slightly more adventurous and investing in one of the best vibrators on the market today, the rabbit.
The good thing about the rabbit is that it probably isn’t unfamiliar to her, at least by name, and has been pretty main stream since the 1990s, thanks in part to TV shows like ‘Sex in the City’.
This is obviously only appropriate if you are confident that she possesses an adventurous streak, but you can rest assured that this product has win written all over it!
