Man airlifted following Rhayader car crash

A MAN was airlifted to hospital on Tuesday night after a collision between two cars on the outskirts of Rhayader.


The man was trapped in his car following the accident, which took place on the A470 South Street, Rhayader, shortly before 5pm on Tuesday, June 14.


Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene near the entrance to the Red Kite Feeding Centre.


The man was freed from his car and taken by a Wales Air Ambulance crew to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
