8.00pm
WE HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED IN CARDIFF!
After five days of walking we have finally got into Cardiff, we've battled through wind, rain, hail - we have blisters and sore knees - but it has all been worth it, especially when we have see so much support.
We will walk another mile tomorrow into Cardiff Bay and meet up with all the other protesters and deliver the petition to the Welsh Assembly Government.
2.30pm
Following the torrential weather of yesterday, today has been, well even wetter with the rain teaming down on us for most of the way.
We are currently about two miles outside of Pontypridd where there are going to be more ITV Wales cameras there giving the campaign yet more publicity.
We are currently walking down a trail now after hitting a bypass, and we will rejoin the main roads around the Whitchurch area before the final miles into Cardiff, where hopefully drivers will again shows us great support which they have done all the way down here.
Earlier we walked along the Trevithick tram line, which was the first industrial railway built in the world.
We have about 14 miles left to walk to Cardiff and I'm estimating that we will arrive about 6.30pm, especially if everyone feels as good as they do at the moment. We are all fit and in good spirits and being buoyed by the singing of the Welsh national anthem and some rugby songs.
Day Five - 11.30am
Well after a great night's sleep, a bath for the aching limbs and a fantastic curry we're back on the trek.
We left Merthyr and so far we've reached Aberfan although we've had to abandon the plan to walk along the roads due to the fact we might face some serious trouble from the law if we're found strolling along South Wales' dual carriageways!
It's actually made a really pleasant change to get off the roads and we're surrounded by what would have been beautiful scenery. Sadly though when you look at the hills there are pylons and cables everywhere and they look terrible, even though they are far smaller than the ones we are campaigning against in Montgomeryshire. You can see how they would completely destroy the landscape.
The reaction from the public is still surprising given how far we are out of Powys now. Cars are still tooting away and people are coming up to us to find out what we're walking for. There are also other people who know exactly what we're marching for and it's great that so many people are becoming knowledgeable about the issue.
Everyone's feeling a bit better this morning. The later part of yesterday was a real struggle with all of us suffering in one way or another. We're scheduled to arrive in Cardiff this afternoon and hopefully the blisters will hold off until then!
