IT has been a very busy few weeks for good and sad reasons.
Firstly I wanted to wish my father a happy birthday as I know he is watching down on me as we speak. Sadness still fills my heart as time goes by and it doesn't get any easier.
The season is now well into the swing of things and after three excellent wins we then went to LA for the dream mls match that all fans want too see.
Five designated players, Beckham, Henry, Marques, Angel and Donavon. A live espn match totally lived up to the expectancy and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
David Beckham was the best player on the park and showed he can still play to a top standard. Sadly I hurt my knee in the next match against Montreal Impact after landing awkwardly and after letting it settle down I might only miss a week or two rather than eight weeks like last year.
We have three matches coming up next week, with games against Houston, Colorado and Vancouver.
Congratulations to Man Utd and Sir Alex who won their 19th league title to overtake Liverpool and continue to set the standards in the Premiership.
Chelsea need to regroup and Arsenal need to look hard at themselves after another year without a trophy. Is Arsene Wenger's job under threat?
Some might say without a doubt! What a day it promises to be on the last day of the season! Two teams to go out of five. I pray Wolves and Mick can keep them up and after last week's massive win, I believe they’ll be fine. Wigan and Blackpool look like they might be up against it though.
The race for the Premiership hots up and nearly the dream tie was produced.
Swansea played fantastically to beat Notts Forest but sadly Cardiff blew up again after a 3 0 defeat at home to Reading. Lots of things will be said about Dave Jones and the team but I hope that things settle down before decisions are made. I hope all Welsh fans get behind Swansea now as it’ll be great for the country.
Talking of Wales, Robbie Savage played his last game before retirement, and I must congratulate him for a wonderful career.
He has often been badly judged and said things that he shouldn’t have but football wise you must take your hat off to him.
Finally the NBA play-offs are coming to an end with Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls fighting in the Eastern Conference final, and Dallas v Oklahoma in the West. I’m a big Bulls fan so I am cheering all the way!
