BUILTH Wells YFC is celebrating after its play, ‘Big Trouble in Little China’ was judged the best at the National Federation of YFC Entertainment competition.
The competition saw the group travel to Blackpool where they beat the four best YFC productions in England and Wales to take the title.
There was further success for the group as James Healey, a member of the Builth Wells YFC cast, was awarded the title of ‘best male performer’ in the competition.
The competition was held at The Opera House, Blackpool during the NFYFC annual meeting weekend and saw five teams competing.
Speaking on behalf of the club, David Price, producer said: “I am extremely proud of such a young cast, who all gave 200 per cent. To be judged the best by each of the three adjudicators in Blackpool is quite an achievement. In their words ‘Builth YFC’s got talent!’
“I would like to thank the large number of supporters who made the long journey north, the army of brilliant back stage helpers and the many local businesses and organisations for their financial support for these young people. This was an experience they will never forget.”
