THE New Saints are facing up to two matches in four days, which could decide the destination of the Welsh Premier League title.
This Friday (7.30pm) they host Neath, while Monday (2.30pm) sees them taking on Llanelli at Park Hall.
If the Saints can secure victory against Neath and Bangor fail to beat Llanelli then they will claim their second title in two years.
Manager Mike Davies is without Pip Baker for the clash but welcomes back Barry Hogan from suspension, and is likely to be able to select the influential Craig Jones and Alex Darlington.
Davies said he is expecting a tough contest against Neath, the league’s big spenders, but admitted he’s just pleased to be in the position they are.
He said: “They have made a huge investment this season, they’ve got some great players and on their day they can beat anyone. It won’t be easy but it’s nice to be at home. It will be tricky but if someone asked us if we’d have taken this two months ago we wouldn’t have believed them.”
He added: “We just need to do what we can do and hopefully we can take another step towards the title. We just need to keep putting points on the board and we can’t do any more than that.”
