FESTIVAL favourites Ember are a duo who have gained a reputation for their unique acoustic magic.
The band was formed following a chance meeting between Machynlleth-born Emily Williams and Rebecca Sullivan, from Utah, USA, at a hostel in Barcelona in 2000.

The pair are now based in Wales, where they have recorded all four of their albums.

They both play guitar and contribute to the vocals while Williams also plays violin, and Sullivan features on clarinet and harmonica.

The duo have played all over the world from California to Mexico, Ireland to Spain and has also been involved in several festivals including Broadstairs, Priddy, Glastonbury, Llangollen Fringe, Big Green Gathering, Warwick, Otley, Fishguard Folk Festival and Sesiwn Fawr.

If you want to check them out, their upcoming gigs include:

Friday 25th: Assembly Rooms, 1 Mill Street, Ludlow.

Saturday 26th July: Llangollen Fringe, Llangollen

Sunday 27th July: The Square Festival, Borth

Thursday 31st July: Cambridge Folk Festival
