Saturday August 30
MUSIC FOR BAROQUE STRINGS, Rachel Podger performs a scintillating programme, including Bach's Double Violin Concerto, with students of her international summer school at Theatr Brycheiniog, BRECON.
The students of Rachel's summer school are some of the brightest young musical talents in the world and have come to Brecon from as far afield as Turkey, South Africa, Denmark and Sweden.
This concert is the first of a number of appearances by Rachel Podger over the next few months. She returns to Theatr Brycheiniog, and other venues in the town, when the annual Baroque Festival takes place in October.

CORRIS MUSIC FESTIVAL, week of music, entertainment and events ends today with the Bermo Samba Band in the afternoon and evening show with Steffan Rhys Hughes, winner at this year's Llangollen International Eisteddfod; and Cor Meibion Dyfi, compered by Dilwyn Morgan at the Corris Institute. The Braich Goch Inn also hosts bands.
MICHELLE CHANDLER, award winning Australian songwriter and guitarist at the Last Inn, HENGOED. An experienced musician and compelling performer, Michelle is currently recording her fifth CD in preparation for her upcoming international tour and performs solo, with her band and with other featured artists.
