* HALFWAY HOUSE MALE VOICE CHOIR, in concert at St Garmon’s Church, CASTLE CAEREINION.

* MUSEUM OF MODERN ART WALES, exhibitions feature works by Peter Rossiter and the Cambrian Arts Society’s annual exhibition on until February 20; and The Circle Squared by Antonia Spowers and Bill Swann until February 27, at MACHYNLLETH.
* THE DOLAU MIXTURES, with Emma Powell, in the Music in New Radnor season at NEW RADNOR Community Centre from 7.30pm. They play lots of different types of music from Stainer’s Crucifixtion to Simon and Garfunkel.
* MONTGOMERYSHIRE YFC DRAMA FESTIVAL, triennial competitions continue until Saturday, February 20, at Theatr Hafren, NEWTOWN.
* WILL KILLEEN, Irish rootsy musician at The Exchange, NEWTOWN with free admission.
* ORIEL DAVIES GALLERY, two new exhibitions at the NEWTOWN venue feature The Scenery is Very Wonderful. The Weather is Good by Stuart Whipps, and Afield and Louphole works by Simon Whitehead, part of a series of concurrent exhibitions and events exploring mankind’s relationship with place, landscape and environment.
* RHAYADER MUSEUM & GALLERY, new pictures of the Holy Wells of Wales, by south Wales photographer Phil Cope, on until April 12. The postponed ‘Holy Wells...on the road’ evening of inspiring stories, myths and poems on the fascinating subject of the Holy Wells of Wales, with Phil Cope accompanied by guitarist Carlton Bunce, will now take place on Saturday, February 20, at 7.30pm.
* PRIDE & PREJUDICE, starring Susan Hampshire in Theatre Royal Bath touring production at Theatre Severn, SHREWSBURY, at 7.30pm tonight and at 2.30 and 7,30pm on Saturday, February 13.

Saturday, February 13
* BLACKHEART, rising stars of the British acoustic contemporary folk scene, Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Pilkington, live at ABERYSTWYTH Arts Centre.
* AMY WADGE, singer song-writer who has twice won the Best Solo Female Artist title at the Welsh Music Awards and has four album releases to her name, plays live at Theatr Brycheiniog Studio, BRECON.
* WILD VISION, leading nature and adventure photographer John Beatty presents astonishing audio-visual presentation giving audience the chance to experience the beauty of our most remote landscapes, at Theatr Brycheiniog, BRECON.

* THE HAT BAND. at the Wyeside Arts Centre, BUILTH WELLS, In aid of The Bracken Trust, and in memory of Sally Cooper, the hugely respected local actress and choreographer diagnosed with pancreatic cancer three days before her wedding in May 2007. The sort of comedy folk band has not played together for 20 years since a concert in aid of St Michael’s Hospice, after the fiddler’s wife died there.
After Sally also died at the hospice her husband George has brought the band back together as a tribute and to raise new funds.
