THE annual Pig Fest in Welshpool has raised a fantastic £3,667 for Parkinson’s UK.
Festival organisers Sara and Adie Andrew decided to support the charity as Sara’s father, Frank Bailey, died in 2012 after suffering with Parkinson’s.
It is the fourth time the couple have hosted the sell-out event which saw lots of people turn up to enjoy music and food.
Sara said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the sponsors, the festival goers, the musicians, and to our friends and family who helped with the event on the day.
“The money we’ve raised will help Parkinson’s UK with their vital work to find better treatments and hopefully a cure for the condition.”
