THE THEATRE Severn has confirmed that Britain’s favourite Pub Philosopher Al Murray, will return to the venue on Saturday, November 5, following his sold-out performance in September last year.
Tickets will go on general sale from 11am tomorrow (Friday).
Following the huge success of his 2010 tour, The Pub Landlord is extending his Barrel of Fun Tour for a second time, serving up his own special bar room banter at venues across the UK.
The announcement signals another addition to a fantastic line-up of live comedy at Theatre Severn in the coming months. Fresh from TV appearances hosting Dave’s One Night Stand, Mark Watson (June 16), Dave Gorman (September 30) and Chris Addison (March 18) are joined by co-star of Frankie Boyle’s Tramadol Nights, Tom Stade (September 11), Omid Djalili (October 14), and legendary Irish comedians Tommy Tiernan (October 9) and Ed Byrne (October 19), as the latter stops off on his aptly named ‘Crowd Pleaser’ tour.
Craig Reeves from Theatre Severn said: “Shrewsbury is now renowned as a great crowd for comedy and this made us a key stop on the circuit. We are expecting huge demand for tickets so advise everyone to book early.”
Tickets are available from the Theatre Severn box office (01743 281281) or buy online at www.theatresevern.co.uk
