A DOUBLE bill of plays from the adult and children’s sections of Llandinam Drama Group will provide an evening of contrasts this Friday, May 4, and Saturday, May 5, raising funds for the Hope House children’s hospice.

Staged at Llandinam Village Hall from 7.30pm, they start with the Young Dragons group of eight to 14-year-olds, who will be performing ‘Blood’, Nettie Baskcome Brown’s imaginative award winning script written especially for under 18s.

It looks at the serious subject of the human circulatory system through comedy. A family of blood cells have to deal with what the human body throws at them: time in the gym, a traumatic accident, a holiday abroad and more. This lively, fun and engaging play will delight and inform you all.

The second part has the adults performing ‘When a Man Knows’ by Alan Richardson. Set in the 1980s a businessman is kidnapped by an unknown woman. This dark compelling drama won Best Production and Best Individual Performance for its two stars Craig Harris and Amber Deacon at the recent MCDA One –Act Play Festival.

Both plays are directed by Judith Marvin who is also chairman of the Llandinam Drama Group. Tickets are £6 from Judith on 01686 689016.
