CHART topping singer and veteran of the Australian soap ‘Neighbours’, Jason Donovan is becoming a bit of a fixture on the Shrewsbury scene.

A return to the town’s Theatre Severn on September 5 was announced this week to open 28 extra dates for his ‘Jason and his Amazing Midlife Crisis’ tour, in response to public demand.

He was last at the theatre in May 2017 starring as the legendary record producer Sam Phillips in the touring show ‘The Million Dollar Quartet’.

And already announced is an appearance at Shrewsbury Quarry on Saturday, July 14, as part of a star studded ‘Let’s Rock Shrewsbury 10 Years of Retro’ festival day that will also include UB40, Marc Almond and Kim Wilde among many more.

His current ‘Midlife Crisis’ tour is already under way with many dates already sold out. After a summer break for the Retro shows, the tour resumes with the added dates in September.

The ultimate 1980s heart-throb who scored 16 hit singles, now with his 50th birthday looming, Donovan presents autobiographical ‘in conversation’ style nights examining every aspect of his life and career, including his times in ‘Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ and on ‘I’m a Celebrity’ in a witty and entertaining way full of music and laughter.
