A PRIZE winning trio play in Welshpool Welshpool Music Club’s February concert with the Albany Piano Trio appearing next Thursday, February 15, at 7.30pm in Welshpool Methodist Church.

Described as having "fastidious musicianship" by Musical Opinion Quarterly, The Albanys are a diverse and innovative ensemble whose repertoire focuses on works by female composers, both current and historic, alongside the traditional canon of piano trio music.

They will be playing a new work by Judith Bingham recently commissioned by the trio entitled 'The Orchid and its Hunters' which was premiered live on BBC Radio 3, together with works by Beethoven, Bloch and Ravel.

Admission to the trio's concert is £10 (£2 for students) available at the door.

The concert is part of the club’s 75th anniversary season.
