THE sights and sounds of the jungle come to the stage at Rhayader Leisure Centre this weekend.

Rhayader Players will be presenting their brand new pantomime “Simba”.

The show can be seen tonight Friday, February 2, and at 2.30 and 7.30pm on Saturday, February 3.

The cast includes Emma Richards as Simba, Lee Price as Tarzan, Julie Carod as Just Jane, Oliver Belfield as Dr.Livingstone, along with many more.

“Simba”is the story of a young cub who can’t wait to be King of the Lions, and the show is packed full of songs both old and new and colourful characters who bring the jungle to life.

The warmth, colours and sounds of Africa will be brought the stage but still in the style of a traditional pantomime.

It will be an emotional roller coaster ride and roaring good fun. This show is a must for young and old alike.

The show has been written by Lawry Boyns Thomas.

Tickets are available on the door and cost £8 for adults and £4 for children. There is also a £20 family ticket for two adults, and two children age 12 and under.

Rhayader Players is a small amateur dramatics group of all ages who meet at Rhayader Ambulance Station. New members are always welcome, wherever your talents may lie, on stage, or off.

They are always looking for a stage hands and other back and front of stage roles.

Go sing, dance and have a laugh with them as all are welcome.

As well as their annual pantomime, the Players usually also present a summer entertainment show and visit neighbouring towns.
