The property is located in the village of Lloyney approximately 4 miles from the popular market town of Knighton or Tref y Clawdd - the town on the Dyke, with a railway station on the Heart of Wales line from Swansea to Shrewsbury, there are new hop on/hop off walks being introduced in the Welsh hills. The Offas Dyke footpath is a 177 mile National Trail footpath that closely follows the England/Wales border. It opened in 1971 from Prestatyn to Chepstow with Knighton sitting at the half way point with a visitors centre. Knighton has good facilities including a Leisure Centre, supermarket, a hardware store, butchers, music shop hotel and unique café's.. The town is famous for having one foot in Wales (Powys) and one foot in England (Shropshire) the boundary being the River Teme. Llanfair Waterdine is around half a mile away with many welcoming activities centering on the Everest Hall (named after the local hero Lord Hunt who conquered Everest in 1953).
