Rivals' fans aren't a 'Patch' on Toronto's... by Carl Robinson

FIRST of all I must say a big thank you to the Red Patch Boys, who are a supporters group at our club.
Not only have they been magnificent for the last two years, but their passion is second to none. They follow us week in and week out, travel everywhere and this year they voted me their man of the year.
This is a great honour for me, and I'm just disappointed that I will not be able to be at their party as I'm now back in the UK with my family.
Since arriving back in the uk, I've been greeted with nothing but rain. It really has been miserable weather and makes me very happy that I will be going back to Canada next year.
It has also been nice relaxing and putting my feet up since the end of my MLS season. It's been nearly two years since I've had a decent rest and eventually it will catch up with me.
The issue I had as soon as the season had finished was the matches with Wales, in November and February. Last year I stayed fit by training with Wolves, but this year I needed to speak to John Toshack about these fixtures.
After receiving a call from Tosh last week regarding the games coming up, we both agreed it would be best for me not too be involved. He said I could meet up and be involved if I wanted, but I said I had shut down already after the season and wanted a rest.
He was great with this, and said it will give him an opportunity to look at someone else. We then agreed we'll see each other in March for the World Cup qualifiers. I then found it funny to read that I had been left out of the squad, but that shows that what people write can be so far from the truth, and they don't even check first.
I have been watching the MLS Play-Offs very closely and both Conference Finals turned up some shocks for me. I thought Houston Dynamo were a dead cert to get through after facing New York Red Bulls. But over the two legged game they lost convincingly. New York will now face Real Salt Lake, who for me were the surprise team in the MLS this year.
In the other final match to be played Chicago will face Columbus Crew, who were the best team throughout the season. Two difficult matches and hard to call but this shows how tight the league really is.
Next week the two Conference Finals will take place, with the overall final a week later.
Back here it's been unbelievable to see the impact that Harry Redknapp has had at Spurs, who could not buy a win, have now won five out of six games under Harry.
Last week I also went down to London to help Rob Phillips and BBC Wales do the radio commentary for Cardiff's match at QPR.
It was certainly an eye opener, and the press boys really do work hard at their jobs. I thoroughly enjoyed doing, the only disappointing thing was that Cardiff lost.
