MERCY GRIFFITHS Formerly of Tyn-y-coed and Piccadilly, Abbey-cwm-hir who passed away peacefully at Dolcorsllwyn Lodge, Aberangell on 18th January, 2018 aged 93 years. John, David, Clarice, Douglas and Mary and the family of the Late Mercy Griffiths sincerely wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours who have been so kind and helpful at this very sad time. We thank you for the many cards, messages of sympathy and flowers. Thank you to the large congregation who attended the Funeral Service to celebrate Mercy's life at St. Mary's Church, Abbey-cwm-hir on 9th February, 2018, we were blessed with sunshine and a beautiful church. Thanks to those who travelled long distances to be there, and to all who attended the Phillips Hall afterwards to catch-up and reminisce about Mercy's life. Thank you to Reverend Rachael Storer who conducted a beautiful Service and assisted David with the Tribute to Mercy, Organist Mrs Ruby Griffiths , Lindsey Williams and Mel Hamer, Nita Hamer and Shirley Stevens for the beautiful church flowers, Richard and Evan Griffiths for recording names, the Bearers David Evans, Geoffrey Griffiths, David Jones, John Jones, Bernard Pugh, and Clinton Webb, Bwyd Bethan (Lewis) for the catering and Morgan Lloyd for the arrangements and Julie Evans for arranging the Phillips Hall. Special thanks for the kind messages from Mercy's close friends who could not be at the service, Harold and Thoa Hughes, an email message from Ruth and Ian Hopkin "We are at the top end of New Zealand and 13 hrs ahead of you. We shall be thinking of you all on the 9th. God bless you all. Love Ruth and Ian xxx". Thank you all for your generous donations to St. Mary's Church, Abbey-cwm-hir in memory of Mercy.
